” Life is art. We see it every day and are surrounded by it whether it be a painting, music or a cooked meal. Each endeavor is someone putting their heart and soul into a creation for others to enjoy “
My family’s roots in this country date back to 1635, led by Rev. Peter Bulkeley, who founded the settlement of Concord, Massachusetts. I come from a long lineage of builders and pioneers who helped shape the landscape of this nation. Following in that heritage of craftsmanship, I spent many years as a professional woodworker and builder before ever picking up a paintbrush. This foundation in technical construction and “making” informs every piece of art I create today.
While my background is multidisciplinary—spanning woodworking, photography, and music—my true passion lies in the world of abstract expressionism. To me, abstract art is “ordered chaos.” It is a language that allows complex emotions and internal experiences to breathe upon the canvas in a way that words simply cannot do justice.
My process is a deliberate exploration of contrast and movement. By utilizing unconventional tools and techniques honed over decades of creative work, I translate the inner workings of my mind into a singular manifestation of color and texture.
My journey in the abstract realm is an evolving one, deeply inspired by the nuances of life and the subconscious. Each painting is an invitation to the viewer—a glimpse into my world and a bridge to your own emotional and spiritual experience. I create my work to be felt, not just seen, and I hope it resonates with you as deeply as it does with me.

Born in Greenwich, Connecticut, in 1971 and a Missouri City resident since 1978, Scott is an abstract artist recognized for his innovative fusion of acrylics and mixed media. Working primarily within the realm of abstract expressionism, he merges traditional techniques with unconventional materials to establish a visual language that bridges chaos and beauty. He is best known for his exploration of surface transformation, utilizing bold compositions to capture the aesthetic allure of corrosion and patina.
The heart of Scott’s work centers on unlocking the subconscious, inviting viewers into a space of introspection. His canvases are defined by palpable depth, achieved through the integration of sand, plaster, gold leaf, textiles, and lava rock. This multidisciplinary approach—likely informed by his diverse technical background—infuses each piece with a tactile rhythm that challenges perception. By exploring the delicate balance between decay and renewal, Scott creates works that transcend visual appeal, engaging the emotional and psychological realms where memory and imagination converge.

The images shown are the actual paintings, however the ones that show with the painting mounted is a mock up to better help you to visualize how it may look in a room. My paintings are not framed, as I want to leave that decision up to the buyer.
