Why an Original
Texture a Photograph Cannot Hold
Most of what makes these paintings work is physical. Acrylic is the foundation, and the surface is built up from there with materials most people would never call paint: crushed quartz, sand, lava rock, iron oxide, charcoal, burlap and gold leaf. Silent Machinery has real rust in it. Lapis Fracture has quartz you can feel under your fingertips.
That texture changes how a painting behaves in your room. A raised ridge catches late-afternoon light and throws a small shadow, then goes quiet after sunset. A metallic passage looks muted on an overcast morning and comes alive when the sun reaches it. Months after a piece goes up, you will still notice something you had not seen before.
A print cannot do that. It is a flat photograph of an object that was never flat, and it looks the same under every bulb at every hour. When you buy an original, you get the object itself, one of one, built by hand in Missouri City. Once a painting is finished, it cannot be made again, even by me. Every canvas is gallery-grade, finished with a protective varnish and wired, so it arrives ready to hang. Paintings are sold unframed, which leaves you free to frame for your room or hang the canvas as it is.

Buying original art should feel simple, not intimidating. There is no shipping, no crate and no guessing from a screen. Here is how it works, from the first look to the day the painting goes on your wall.

Many of the current paintings hang at the Sugar Land Art Center & Gallery, 104 Industrial Blvd Ste Q, through February 2027. It is open to the public, with no appointment and no obligation. Walk up close, step back, look at it from the side. That is the only test that matters.

Sizes run from compact 11 x 14 inch pieces to 48 x 60 inch statement canvases, and prices run from $300 to $7,200. A small original often costs less than a large framed print from a home store. The free sizing tools below help you narrow the list before you visit.

Local Hand Delivery
Paintings are never shipped. Delivery is by hand across the Houston area, including Missouri City, Sugar Land, Katy and Pearland, so you see the actual painting in your own light before any money changes hands. Pieces on display at the gallery can also be bought there and picked up locally.

Find the Right Size Before You Buy
The most common regret among art buyers is going too small. A painting that is undersized for its wall looks lost, no matter how good it is. A reliable rule of thumb is to aim for about two-thirds of the usable wall width, then adjust for the furniture below it and the height of your ceiling.
Two free tools on this site take the guesswork out of it. Enter two measurements into the Art Size Calculator and it shows you the canvas size your wall calls for, how high to hang it and which paintings in the current collection fit. My Story
Art has been my primary language since childhood, evolving from early drawings into a sophisticated mastery of various media. Today, my focus is rooted in the philosophy of ‘ordered chaos,’ using the canvas to give life to interpretations and emotions that words cannot capture. My paintings are defined by a sense of movement and striking contrast, designed to resonate with the soul and invite the viewer into my internal world. It is my hope that these works bring a lasting flow of emotion to your space.

Abstract Art for Houston-Area Homes and Offices
Houston-area homes get a lot of light. Big windows, open floor plans and tall ceilings in Sugar Land, Missouri City, Katy and Pearland give a textured painting plenty to work with. That is where layered surfaces of quartz, rust and gold leaf earn their keep, shifting through the day as the sun moves across the room.
Abstract work is also more flexible than most people expect. It does not need to match the couch. The couch gets replaced in a few years; the painting stays. Match the piece to the room’s light and scale, and the color tends to take care of itself. Questions Collectors Ask
Do you ship paintings?
No. Every painting is sold locally in the Houston area and delivered by hand, so you see the real thing before you buy it. Shipping a heavily textured canvas is risky, and it forces you to decide from a photograph, which is the wrong way to buy an original.
How much do original paintings cost?
Current prices run from $300 for the smallest pieces to $7,200 for the largest canvases. Most medium paintings, around 24 x 24 to 24 x 30 inches, fall between $1,100 and $1,400. Each painting’s page lists its size and price.
Do you take commissions?
No. Every piece in the collection is finished and available to see in person, so what you see is exactly what you get. There is no waiting and no wondering how a custom piece might turn out.
How do I ask about a specific painting?
Use the contact form and mention the painting’s name. You will usually hear back within 24 hours, and extra photos or close-up video of the texture are available on request.
Where can I see your paintings in person?
